Working of Cochlear Implant
Step 1
The sound is picked up by the microphone and interpreted by the sound processor.
Step 2
The interpreted sound is delivered through a transmitter coil to the implanted receiver.
Step 3
The implanted receiver sends the electrical signals through the electrodes placed in the cochlea.
Step 4
The electrical signals are sent to the brain for decoding.
