Dr. Mukesh Goel is a renowned cardiothoracic surgeon with an experience of 28 years in this field. Having performed over 2200 cardiac operations to date, he has extensive experience with high-risk CABG (patients with very poor heart function, obese women, renal failure patients including those on dialysis, the elderly, and those with COPD), Aortic dissection and aneurysm surgery with and without valve-sparing, Valve repair for ischemic and degenerative mitral regurgitation and Bilateral IMA grafting. He had successfully repaired a descending thoracic aortic aneurysm/dissection using a hybrid technique.
In February 2010, he created a Cardiovascular Surgery Unit as the principal cardiovascular surgeon at the Asian Institute of Medical Sciences in Faridabad. He also began a program in minimally invasive techniques in cardiac surgery and the repair of aortic dissections (aneurysms). In two years, he founded the Cardiac Surgery Unit (a Medanta subsidiary) at the Delhi Heart Institute in Bathinda (Punjab).
