With over 32 years of experience, Dr. Kapil Kochhar is a renowned Bariatric Surgeon and Minimal Access Surgeon (MAS). He played a key role in setting up the first IVF center in Kabul, Afghanistan, and organizing OPD camps in Nigeria and Malawi. Dr. Kochhar has successfully performed over 10,000 Laparoscopic Surgeries both in India and abroad. He is also credited with introducing Laparoscopic Surgery to remote areas in northern India, demonstrating his pioneering spirit.
He also founded a society called “Tubular Vision,” which has members including Gynecologists and Surgeons from India and other countries. Tubular Vision regularly organizes Continuing Medical Education (CME) sessions and conferences to provide training to young surgeons and raise awareness about Minimal Access Surgeries.
As a founding member of the NGO known as Help Aids India Foundation (HAIF), he actively participates in organizing charitable camps to provide medical care to patients in various specialties, including Oncology, Neurosurgery, Gynaecology, General Surgery, and AIDS. Additionally, HAIF facilitates Laparoscopic Surgeries for underprivileged individuals in society at a reduced cost.
